Welcome to The Rundown!

A podcast covering markets, on-chain data, and fundamental analysis of the web3 tech stack.

Happy Friday everyone!

I’m pleased to share the first episode of The Rundown — a new podcast I am co-hosting with my friend Shiv Mehta.

If you’ve been reading our research reports over the last few years, you’ll find the podcast to be a nice compliment to the newsletter. Shiv and I will be discussing the markets, on-chain data, how we do fundamental analysis of the Web3 tech stack, and much more.

The podcast format (which is also on YouTube) allows us to explore even more nuance than is possible in the written reports.

Topics covered in the first episode:

  • Shiv and I introduce ourselves, our journey to web3, and how we came together to co-host The Rundown together.

  • A preview of topics we’ll be covering. Hint: lots of on-chain data and fundamental analysis in an ongoing exploration of how value accrues through the web3 tech stack.

New episodes will be released every Friday moving forward!

The Rundown will also be distributed in video format via The DeFi Report’s YouTube channel.

I highly recommend subscribing to the YouTube Channel.

Why?

Each episode of The Rundown will include a segment called “Going On-Chain with Token Terminal” where we’ll pull up charts and dashboards as we share our fundamental analysis of crypto networks, protocols, and value accrual through the tech stack.

These segments will often be paired with our written reports.

Furthermore, we’ll be uploading short-form videos to The DeFi Report YouTube channel covering core concepts related to how we study on-chain data and analyze the web3 tech stack.
